Kundalini Yoga, also known as the yoga of awareness, is an ancient science of self-healing that uses breath-work (pranayam), yoga postures (asana), sound (mantra), and meditation to revitalize the body, balance the mind, and stimulate spiritual awareness. These yogic practices are merged into carefully choreographed exercises called kriyas that open up energy flow in the body, channeling it in a way that removes blocks to consciousness.

This type of yoga balances and purifies all of the systems of the body, while at the same time calming and sharpening the mind. Regular practice of Kundalini Yoga promotes optimal general health, reduces stress, establishes emotional balance, and enhances intuition. It trains the mind to be calm, clear, non-reactive, and flexible in the face of stress and change.

Kundalini Yoga is a safe and complete yogic system and is acknowledged by yogic traditions to be one of the fastest catalysts for personal growth.

Weekly Classes

Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness.  Through movement, deep relaxation, and meditation we remember who we truly are:  bountiful, beautiful and blissful beings, always!

Each week we will gently explore a different component of a kundalini yoga practice: sound, relaxation, breath, posture, meditation, and the kundalini energy.

The best way to determine if this practice is for you is to try it! Bring an open mind and wear comfortable clothes. We have yoga mats, blankets, and cushions.

Beginner’s Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness.  Through movement, deep relaxation, and meditation we remember who we truly are:  bountiful, beautiful and blissful beings, always!

A gentler and slower practice, this class takes the time to explore and explain different aspects of Kundalini Yoga. We’ll learn about chakras, the aura, hand positions (mudras), intuition, etc.

The best way to determine if this practice is for you is to try it! Bring an open mind and wear comfortable clothes. We have yoga mats, blankets, and cushions.

Kundalini Yoga Aquarian Sadhana

Rise and Shine with Kundalini Yoga!

Sadhana, or more specifically Aquarian Sadhana, is a practice that can help lead to breakthroughs in all areas of your life. A Sadhana is any dedicated spiritual discipline that you maintain for a period of time. Aquarian Sadhana is the practice in Kundalini yoga that integrates chanting, yoga, and meditation in the early morning hours before dawn, which helps us live at our best as we make the transition into the Aquarian age (the age we now find ourselves in where the pace of life is moving so fast and knowledge is not enough to sustain us).

Any regularly practiced yoga set or even devotional prayer and meditation is referred to as a “sadhana.” Sadhana is our time to come together to deepen our connection with spirit, with the Divine, with our highest consciousness, activating this healing energetic frequency.  Sadhana is a blessing we can treat ourselves to. You’ll walk away feeling balanced and uplifted in your psyche, spirit, and emotional wellbeing – and will transmit that life-enhancing blessing on everyone you encounter throughout your day!

Bring a mat and a warm blanket. Bring a pillow if you need support when seated.  Also, when doing Sadhana one covers the head (a bandanna will do.)

Kundalini Yoga Gong and Mantra Night

Each class includes a warm up Kundalini yoga set, chanting of Kundalini yoga mantras, meditation, and deep relaxation with a symphonic gong. No experience necessary.

Chanting mantra produces a specific vibratory frequency within the body.  There is a vibratory frequency that corresponds to everything in the Universe. Happiness or sorrow, joy or regret – all our psycho-spiritual-emotional states correlate to vibratory frequencies in the mind.

Kundalini yoga mantras have an effect based on their vibrations. They have a powerful meaning as well, evoking gratitude, peace, compassion, prosperity, and many other qualities. But it is the chanting of the mantra that penetrates our deepest level of being, creating a kinetic understanding that surpasses the mind.

When we chant a mantra we are choosing to invoke the positive power contained in those particular syllables. Whether it’s for prosperity, peace of mind, increasing intuition, or any other possible benefits inherent in mantras, simply by chanting them we are setting vibrations into motion that shall have an effect.

During gong and mantra night, we warm up briefly with some Kundalini yoga, and then we chant mantras, often while holding a particular hand position (mudra.) We end mantra night by delving into deep resonance with the vibration of the symphonic gong, creating an experience of deep relaxation combined with elevation of our conscious awareness.
