Chiropractic

Chiropractic focuses on the natural healing power of the body.  It is based on the philosophy that the body’s self-healing ability is controlled by the nervous system, your brain and spinal cord. Your nervous system is complex and facilitates millions of instructions that flow from your brain, down the spinal cord, and out into your body.

The focus is on solving the underlying causes of your discomfort rather than simply treating symptoms.  Your nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) is responsible for sending instructions to every organ and tissue in your body. For example, when those messages are blocked by misalignments of the spine or improper joint motion, your body may respond with back pain, neck pain, headaches, or many other problems.

Chiropractic care focuses on maximizing your body’s natural capacity for self-healing.  It is drug-free and addresses symptoms with non-surgical therapies.

Auriculotherapy

Auriculotherapy is similar to ear acupuncture but it uses no needles.  A micro-current stimulator is placed on reflexpoints Auriculotherapy is similar to ear acupuncture but it uses no needles.  A micro-current stimulator is placed on on the outside of the ear.  These points then send a message to the brain based on the location of the reflex point being treated. Most people feel only a tiny tingling at the ear reflex points during treatment.

Imagine your brain as a computer. Inside this computer is a “map” of the entire body. This map is projected on to the ear through the body’s nervous system. Accessing the points on the map is like using a computer’s keyboard or mouse to gain entrance into the system.  With this system we are able to directly treat a number of problems and conditions through the brain’s computer.

Auriculotherapy is particularly beneficial in the treatment of additions.  It is a useful modality in smoking cessation and other addictions, including work and food.  Research has demonstrated much better retention rates in drug rehabilitation programs with the use of Auriculotherapy.
